ARAKAN ROHINGYA ORGANISATION ( ARO )
About Us

Following the 2017 genocide of the Rohingya by the Myanmar military and extremist Rakhine politicians, we were established in March 2019 in partnership with the Arakan Rohingya Army (ARA), a group dedicated to defending our people and their dignity politically and militarily, to work for the rights and protection of our community. Together, we are working to address the injustices faced by the Rohingya and to restore our rights and identities. We will work together as a nation to prevent the horrific tragedies of the past from happening again, reclaim our rightful place in society, and build a future where our communities can live in peace and security.
Our Vision
Our vision is to see the Rohingya people living in peace and harmony with other ethnic minorities in their ancestral homeland of Rakhine. We believe that achieving mutual respect and understanding between diverse communities is essential to building a sustainable future.
Our Mission
1. To protect the Rohingya people from the ongoing ethnic cleansing by the Burmese government and extremist Rakhine politicians.
2. To ensure that all Rohingya refugees are fully entitled to their civil rights and property rights and are able to return to their homeland with dignity.
3. To provide them with protection from the dangers of temporary refugee camps and to live in safety and security.
4. To take all necessary measures to ensure that the Rohingya people can achieve a brighter future.
Our Values
We believe that all ethnic groups of different cultures and religions should live together in unity and harmony, treating everyone with dignity and fairness, with mutual respect, compassion, and empathy. We believe that equal rights should be recognized and that there should be accountability and justice in all actions.
